Join us for an unforgettable adventure up the Narumoru Route to the legendary Mackinders Camp (4,300m ASL) in the stunning Teleki Valley. This 20km round trip blends natural beauty, high-altitude thrills, and a touch of mountaineering history.
We kick things off with a visit to the hidden gem of Percival Falls, before starting our trek from the MET Station. The trail winds through old forest and dense bamboo, crossing the early waters of the Narumoru River, before opening into the moorlands and tackling the infamous Vertical Bogs.
At Mackinders Camp, the views are nothing short of jaw-dropping. The snow-capped Batian and Nelion peaks tower above like ancient guardians, their grandeur almost otherworldly. Nearby, explore the historic Mackinder’s Caves, once a shelter for daring early climbers. And don’t miss the adorable rock hyraxes—tiny mountain dwellers whose closest relatives are elephants and manatees!
This hike is rated challenging but beginner-friendly, offering a true taste of high-altitude hiking in Mount Kenya National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ready to lace up your boots? The Teleki Valley is calling, and its wonders are waiting.
The payment will progressively get added into the booking fee and then the ticket price. Lipa pole pole is subject to our Cancellation and Refunds Policy.
