The adventure to Mount Satima commences at the Wandare Gate, a gateway to the wonders of the Aberdare Ranges. As the journey begins, excitement fills the air, and anticipation builds for the remarkable experiences that lie ahead.
The trail meanders through a dense forests adorned with a tapestry of indigenous flora and fauna, creating a serene ambiance that rejuvenates the soul. We will drive through this section for safety reasons due to the wildlife and reach the car park at the roadhead where we will leave the vehicle and start our hike though the mesmerizing landscapes of the Aberdare moorland. The Aberdare Ranges are renowned for their biodiversity, boasting a rich variety of plant and animal species that add to the allure of the journey.
As the elevation gradually increases, the landscape transforms, offering panoramic vistas of rolling hills and verdant valleys stretching as far as the eye can see. The cool mountain air invigorates the senses, and the distant calls of wildlife echo through the wilderness, reminding hikers of the untamed beauty that surrounds them.
As the ascent continues, you realize how forgiving and beginner friendly the mountain is. The trail has a gradual and slight incline, deeming it beginner friendly. With each arduous step, the promise of reaching the summit beckons, driving hikers forward with unwavering determination.

8:30AM: Arrive at the Wandare car park and do preworkout stretches and hike starts.
12:00PM: Arrive at the highest point of the aberdare ranges at Mt. Satima and take photographs.
1:00PM: Start the descent
4:00PM: Arrive at the car park and leave the National Park
5:00PM: Stop at Nyeri Town
5:30PM: Stop at Karatina town concluding our event.

Physical Fitness: Mount Satima is the third-highest mountain in Kenya, and hiking to summit requires a good level of physical fitness. Start training several weeks before your hike. Include cardio exercises such as running, cycling, and swimming in your routine.
Stretch and Warm Up: Before setting off, perform some light stretches and warm-up exercises to prevent injuries.
Check the Weather: The weather on Mount Kenya can be unpredictable. Check the weather forecast before your hike and be prepared for sudden changes in weather.
Strenuous Exercises: Refrain from strenuous exercises for days prior to the day of the hike.
Foot Care: Cut your toenails short for comfort in the boots and to avoid injueries.
Hydration: Hydrate adequately for 7 days prior to the hike.
Supplies: Stock your supplies (gear, snacks, equipment etc) the day before the hike, we only stop for emergencies.
