Cancellation and Refunds Policy

At Hike Central – Nyeri, we understand that plans can change. Our Cancellation and Refunds Policy is designed to provide you with clear guidelines regarding cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling for our tours and hikes. Please read this policy carefully before booking any of our services.

1. Booking Cancellation

1.1 Cancellation Deadline and Fees: To cancel a booking, you must notify Hike Central – Nyeri in writing (email at hello@hikecentralnyeri.co.ke) at the stipulated duration before the scheduled hike day (starting at 12:00 AM).

Cancellation fees are as follows for cancellations made:

  • At least one week before the event: A full refund.
  • At least 72 hours before the event: A refund of 50% of the booking fee and 100% of the excess fee.
  • Less than 48 hours to the event: The booking deposit will not be refunded. The rest will be refunded.
  • No shows and latecomers: No refund.

2. Lipa Pole Pole

2.1 Processing: Lipa pole pole payment installments are progressively credited to the hike charges, starting with the booking fee, after the booking fee is fully covered by the payment installments, subsequent payments installments will go to completing the hiking fee.

2.2 Excess amounts: Any excess Lipa pole pole amounts paid above the hike charges will be refunded in full to the account used to make the payment.

2.3 Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellation and refunds for Lipa Pole Pole payments are processed under Section 1 above.

3. Refunds

3.1 Refund Process: If you are eligible for a refund, Hike Central – Nyeri will process the refund within 24 hours of receiving your cancellation request. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method and number used for the original booking.

3.3 No-Shows: If you do not show up for a booked tour or hike without prior notice (a “no-show”), you will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Tour or Hike Modifications

4.1 Tour Cancellation by Hike Central – Nyeri: In rare cases, Hike Central – Nyeri may need to cancel a tour or hike due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions or safety concerns. In such cases, we will offer you the option to reschedule your booking or receive a full refund.

5. Exceptions

5.1 Force Majeure: Hike Central – Nyeri is not responsible for cancellations or modifications due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, natural disasters, mechanical breakdown, or government-imposed restrictions. In such cases, our refund policy may not apply, and we will work with you to find suitable alternatives.
